Anarchist Protesters at George Washington University Call for Beheadings of Administrators

Demonstrators at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., have sparked outrage by advocating for the beheadings of school administrators during their ongoing anti-Israel protest.

A recently surfaced video shared on social media reveals protesters on campus chanting for the use of a “guillotine” against GW President Ellen Granberg and other administrative figures.

In the video, an individual can be heard repeatedly chanting “Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine,” while others join in, with specific targeting of Christopher Alan Bracey, GW’s African American provost, according to The National Desk (TND). One protester can be heard shouting, “Bracey, Bracey we see you, you assault students too.”

Further intensifying the rhetoric, another voice is heard shouting, “To the guillotine,” followed by an expletive-laden declaration of condemnation.

The situation escalated, resulting in the arrest of at least 35 individuals at GWU, as confirmed by DC police to Fox News.

Subsequently, some members of the encampment staged a mock court session to pass judgment on the administrators. The incident, captured on an Instagram Live video on May 3, resurfaced on social media platforms.

In the video footage, a leader from the encampment delivers a simulated verdict while a proxy for Bracey sits before them.

This mock trial extended to the GWU’s board of trustees and the school’s president, with protesters demanding the beheading of each individual, as reported by TND.

The disruptive activities persisted throughout the night in GWU’s U-Yard, leading to a confrontation with law enforcement when officers were summoned to restore order.

Police intervention occurred around 3:30 a.m., with the use of pepper spray to disperse the unruly crowd.

For several days, the encampment had been a focal point of tension, featuring erected tents, Palestinian flags, and defaced statues, notably that of former President George Washington, adorned with Palestinian symbolism, including “Free Palestine” stickers.

Additionally, protesters displayed an American flag bearing the inscription “Genocide Joe” alongside an image of President Biden, further reflecting the charged atmosphere surrounding the demonstrations.
